With gratitude we THANK YOU for your interest in becoming a volunteer. Located in Celina Texas, we care for abused, neglected and abandoned equine animals. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.  Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times unless they have attended a youth volunteer training session with a Donkey and Equine Haven USA staff member and have passed all necessary knowledge and safety requirements.

All volunteers are required to be current on their tetanus vaccination. Volunteers should wear work appropriate clothing including boots or closed toed shoes, gloves and safety glasses for example. Please note that volunteers do not ride the rescued donkeys, mules or horses and may or may not be allowed direct access to certain animals at the rescue. It is required that all volunteers work under the supervision of a Donkey and Equine Haven, USA staff member at all times.

Volunteers may not bring friends, family members or associates to the rescue unless a volunteer application has been submitted and approved by Donkey and Equine Haven, USA. Volunteers are only allowed on the property at approved times. Due to the delicate condition of some animals, volunteers may not feed or administer medication to any animal without prior approval.
